About EDEKA SÜDWEST

EDEKA Südwest is one of seven regional companies within the EDEKA Group and supplies supermarkets across Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland as well as southern Hesse and parts of Bavaria. With more than 1,100 stores in its territory — most of them run by independent EDEKA retailers — EDEKA Südwest combines a strong regional focus with a high-performance logistics network. The company operates several distribution centres for ambient, fresh and frozen goods and is continuously working on improving efficiency, quality and service levels for its retail partners and end customers.

Successful solutions from this pilot may not only be expanded across additional EDEKA Südwest sites, but also have the potential to be adopted by other regional companies within the nationwide EDEKA Group.

Who is the target group for this project?

All innovators working at the intersection of logistics, AI, computer vision, sensor technology, process automation or warehouse operations — including startups, scaleups and technology companies.
