Solutions to Improve Picking Quality for EDEKA Südwest

EDEKA Südwest is one of seven regional companies within the EDEKA Group and supplies supermarkets across Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland as well as southern Hesse and parts of Bavaria. With more than 1,100 stores in its territory — most of them run by independent EDEKA retailers — EDEKA Südwest combines a strong regional focus with a high-performance logistics network. The company operates several distribution centres for ambient, fresh and frozen goods and is continuously working on improving efficiency, quality and service levels for its retail partners and end customers. 

Successful solutions from this pilot may not only be expanded across additional EDEKA Südwest sites, but also have the potential to be adopted by other regional companies within the nationwide EDEKA Group.

All final teams agree to enter into discussions with the respective challenge provider within three months of the challenge completion regarding possible further use of the solution.  

During this period, the final teams also agree not to enter into discussions with third parties regarding further use of the solutions. 

Both parties (challenge provider and finalists) are also entitled to jointly agree on deviating and individual provisions with regard to confidentiality agreements or IP rights during the collaboration phase.
