The Market Entry Program is open only to Scale-ups that are planning to relocate to Essen or open a branch in the region. Selected participants will receive tailored support, industry access, and funding opportunities to establish and scale their operations within Essen’s thriving healthcare ecosystem.

Scale-ups will gain:

  • Market Entry Support: Scale-ups will receive tailored guidance on entering the German healthcare market, including regulatory support,strategic positioning and introduction to potential new business partners.
  • Relocation Assistance: EWG offers free consultation and relocation support, including help with administrative processes.
  • Welcome Package: Receive 10,000€ as part of the NRW welcome package.
  • Access to Funding: Scale-ups can apply for financial incentives ranging from 5,000€ to 10,000€.
  • Office Space & Resources: Participants may receive free access to co-working spaces for a limited period.
  • Networking & Strategic Partnership: Direct matchmaking with relevant business partners, investors, and healthcare stakeholders in Essen.
  • Investor Access: Regular networking events with VCs and business angels will be available to selected Scale-ups.

Participation Requirement:

  1. The program is specifically designed for Scale-ups with a proven product, existing customer base, and strong potential for international expansion.
  2. Companies should have secured funding (Seed, Series A, or beyond) and demonstrated market traction.
  3. Scalability is key — Scale-ups should have the ambition and ability to expand internationally.
  4. Companies should already have considered or planned their market entry into Germany.
